Irish Restaurant Awards 2013

On Monday 10th June at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, the prestigious Irish Restaurant Awards took place. Announcing the Regional and All Ireland Winners, these annual Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards celebrate Chefs and Restaurants as well as Food Producers and local foodies!

A night off for Irelands elite restaurateurs, top chefs and admired food producers, the Irish Restaurant Awards celebrates the achievements and exceptional quality in the Irish restaurant and hospitality industry.

Winners on the night included; The Tannery, Dungarvan, County Waterford which was named the All-Ireland winner in the Best Restaurant category. Sunil Ghai, Ananda restaurant in Dublin city, who was named All-Ireland winner in the Best Chef section. The popular Fishy Fishy Café, Kinsale, County Cork was named Best Seafood Experience in Ireland 2013 and Local Food Hero 2013 was Glenilen Farm, Drimoleague, County Cork, which is best known for their fantastic yoghurts, cheesecakes, butter, creams, mousses and soft cheese.

ULSTER – Browns, Co. Derry
MUNSTER – The Tannery, Dungarvan
LEINSTER – Thyme, Athlone
CONNAUGHT – Aniar, Galway
DUBLIN – Ananda, Dundrum
ALL-IRELAND WINNER – The Tannery, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

Best Chef – Regional and Overall Winner
ULSTER – Neven Maguire
MUNSTER – Paul Flynn
LEINSTER – Gary O’Hanlon
CONNAUGHT – Phillipe Farineau
DUBLIN – Sunil Ghai
ALL-IRELAND WINNER – Sunil Ghai, Ananda, Dundrum, Co. Dublin
