Slieve Bloom Walking Festival May 2013

Taking place over the May Bank Holiday from 3rd  – 6th May 2013, the Slieve Bloom Walking Festival Weekend now in its 19th year is one of Ireland’s longest running walking festivals.

Offering enthusiastic walkers from all over Ireland and those who make the trek from further afield and are visiting the gorgeous region of Kinnitty in County Offaly whilst here on their Ireland Vacations; the festival has a fantastic choice of walks over the weekend in the beautiful Slieve Bloom Mountains.

Walkers can choose from easy pleasant woodland walks to more challenging picturesque wilderness hikes within the un spoilt area of the Slieve Bloom Mountains which is surrounded by a many quaint villages, each one guaranteed to offer you a warm welcome.

Sure to be four days of fun, the first walk begins on Friday evening from the local Kinnitty Community Centre. Over the rest of the weekend, the choice of walks will begin mid morning from either Clonaslee Community Centre of Kinnitty Community Centre. For more information visit: www.slievebloom.ie
