Uplifting Irish Anthem to be presented to US President

An uplifting anthem that is due to be presented to the US president Barack Obama at his inauguration on 19th January has been written by singer / songwriter Brendan Keely from Tullamore, County Offaly, who is probably best known for his platinum selling single “I’ll Always Be Lonely”

It’s hoped that the anthem “We Will Be Strong” will raise the nation’s spirits, and in a bid to get lots of locals involved, Keely plans to visit over 70 schools in the midlands area during a three week tour to teach the students and teachers the words to the anthem.

The tour will then conclude with the recording of “We Will Be Strong” at 3pm O’Connor Park, Tullamore, County Offaly on Sunday 27th January, where all the schools visited during the tour, plus any member of the public who wants to be involved, is invited to perform and be one of what its hoped will be over a thousand voices on the live recording of this uplifting anthem.
