The cultural city of Galway is set to welcome the return of the much awaited Galway International Arts Festival which is set to run from the 16th-29th July where a wonderful mix of world-class theatre, headline music acts, street spectacles and much more is sure to attract many people who maybe planning on taking a trip to Ireland.
The Galway International Arts Festival will present six world premieres and five Irish premieres, welcoming artists and theatre makes from across the world to the much-loved city of Galway. These premieres include the world premieres of Paul Muldoon’s Incantata, two plays by Sonya Kelly, Crisin Kehoe from Druid as well as a new theatre installation from Enda Walsh.
The festival is also set two feature two visual arts / installation commissions from David Mach Rock N’Roll and Olivier Grossetete, The People Build.
Tourism Ireland have also just unveiled a new online film created to not only highlight this wonderful festival but to also entice potential holidaymakers check out the many hotel deals on offer.
The online video features footage of Galway giving visitors a taste of what to expect when they visit the cultural city of Galway. It video also describes the festival as “one of the most eclectic and electric arts festivals in the world”.
