In just over a month some of the world’s most famous landmarks will go green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
It’s said that more than 70 million people around the globe have links to Ireland, and this year, the year of the Irish Gathering 2013, Ireland is celebrating that Diaspora, hosting more festivals and events than ever before and inviting anyone with a connection to Ireland or a love of all things Ireland over to the emerald isle to join in the celebrations!
No better day to reconnect with your Irish heritage or to reach a global audience than Paddy’s Day – 17th March, the landmarks turning green around the world include: The Sky Tower in Auckland, the Sydney Opera House, Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, the pyramids in Egypt, the TV tower in Berlin’s Alexanderplatz, Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid statue, the iconic London Eye on London’s Southbank, Table Mountain in South Africa, Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil, the ‘Welcome’ sign in Las Vegas, the Empire State Building, the White House fountain and Niagara Falls and North America.
