The Guinness Jazz Festival makes a welcome return to Cork this year. Over 40,000 eager jazz fans are expected to attend the festival which takes places from October 25th to 28th.
Coinciding with the Irish Gathering 2013, promoters have dubbed the festival as the ‘Jazz Gathering’. There will be over 400 gigs in over 50 venues across Cork city which means
that over 1,000 musicians from 22 different countries will make up the line up that promises to be one of the best the festival has ever seen. The headliners include Chic, Primal Scream and Courtney Pine.
Over the years the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival has attracted some of the most popular jazz musicians from around the globe including Ella Fitzgerald, Chick Corea and Dizzy Gillespie.
