One of Ireland’s biggest annual sporting and social events returns to the country’s capital when the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show takes place from the 5th – 9th August. This will be the 142nd time the event has taken place in Dublin and returns to the RDS in Ballsbridge.
It is anticipated that the event will attract more than 100,000 visitors both domestically and from overseas enjoying trips to Ireland. The Dublin Horse Show has a packed scheduled of events that are sure to enthral visitors of all ages including plenty of live music and entertainment, the RDS National Craft awards and Student Art Awards Exhibition.
There’s also lots of entertainment including fashion shows, a shopping village with 300 stands, restaurants, bars and snack areas which should mean a busy week for hotels near the RDS. Ladies’ Day on Thursday promises lots of glamour with fantastic prizes for:
- ‘Best-dressed Lady’,
- ‘Most Colourful Outfit’,
- ‘Most Creative Hat’ and
- ‘Elegance is an Attitude’,
Not forgetting the men of course, there’s a ‘Best-dressed Man’ prize to reward the fashion conscious males at the Horse Show. With over €940,000 in prize money to be won, and, of course, there’s unmissable high quality national and international show jumping for visitors to enjoy in various competitions including:
