The summer months may have come and gone but Dingle will be coming alive for the 10th annual Dingle Food Festival between 30th September and 2nd October 2016.
The scenic County Kerry town will be hosting a variety of events including food workshops and cookery demos to art trails, whiskey and wine tasting and the Blás na hÉireann Food Awards. The festival will also have a full line up for children so there should be plenty to keep the whole family occupied.
The principle aim of this not-for-profit food festival is to showcase the fantastic food and the warm welcome that Dingle and the Kerry region has to offer, while supporting local food producers, local restaurants and cafes.
One of the most popular events taking place at this years festival is the ‘Taste Trail’, where visitors can meander through the streets of Dingle and sample the local culinary delights at various venues throughout the town! With as many as 80 venues from which to visit then you can purchase a book of 10 Taste Trail tickets for €22, with €2 going towards the running of the festival.
It is predicted that the growing popularity of this Irish food festival will be reflected in visitor numbers for its 2016 instalment with over 10,000 visitors from home and abroad expected.
