This Sunday 3rd June it is expected that more than 100,000 people will descend on Dublin city centre to enjoy the Bavaria City Racing showcase of some of the world’s fastest cars, including Formula One cars and drivers.
Sure to be a spectacular weekend of activities, the Bavaria City Racing Dublin will have something for everyone, including fashion, music and parties all over the city.
This event is free for all and is likely that locals and visitors on vacation in Ireland will attend from midday to 5pm to meet special guests including Formula One driver Jenson Button who won the Formula Championships back in 2009 and his Vodafone McLaren F1 car, as well as the Caterham F1 team, Irish World Superbike star Eugene Laverty, Dublin-born Touring Car star Aron Smith, the Porsche GT3 Cup team and Irish GP2 motor racing team Breezemount. The city centre will close to private traffic from 6am on Sunday for this event, so expect delays if travelling to Dublin city this weekend. The race track begins at the convention centre and crowds will see the cars navigate the streets of the city, past famous Dublin landmarks to the chequered flagged finish line on O’Connell Bridge. For those who are unable to get close to the track their will be giant LED screens showing live footage.
