Dublin ranks fifth in the world for shopping

Dublin has received another positive review, this time from the readers at Condé Nast Traveller Magazine, who recently voted Ireland’s capital city in fifth place of the world’s top shopping destinations. Dublin also featured well ahead of New York, Paris and London which are seen as shopping meccas. This prestigious title comes soon after Condé Nast Traveller Magazine voted Dublin as one of the world’s friendliest cities.

2015: The year long celebration of the life of WB Yeats

Boost for Ireland’s 2,500km Wild Atlantic Way Route

The now famous 2500km Wild Atlantic Way route, along the West Coast of Ireland is set to feature in a top US adventure sports TV series, Facing Waves. The TV feature is set broadcast into 8 million US homes in the next few months, further promoting the route in a bid to encourage people to plan a trip to Ireland.

Guinness Storehouse welcomed 1.27 million extra visitors in 2014

One of Dublin City‘s most iconic landmarks, the Guinness Storehouse, was once again recognised as Ireland’s most popular visitor attraction in 2014 welcoming as many as 1,269,371 visitors through its doors. As one of the most recognisable things to see and do in Ireland, this figure represented a 9.7% increase on the 2013 visitor total of 1,156,985.

Recipe for success: Kinsale to feature on Canadian Gourmet TV Show

Boost for Irish Festivals in 2015

Tourism Ireland recently announced that it is looking to attract a record of 7.74 million visitors to Ireland next year. This will be the highest level of people taking a vacation in Ireland since 2007 and would result in a growth of up to 6% delivering €4 billion to the economy.
