Kilkenny was named Ireland’s tidiest town after pipping almost 849 other contenders to the revered title. Kilkenny City, also known as the ” marble city”, was announced as the winner for the first time since 1985 at The Helix in Dublin.

Failte Ireland Launches Wild Atlantic Way App

The now famous Wild Atlantic Way 2,500 km route now has its own app thanks to Failte Ireland.  This new app which is now available in Apple App Store and Google Play Store claims to be the definitive guide to the world’s longest defined coastal route which stretches from Inishowen in County Donegal right down to the scenic town of Kinsale in County Cork.

The Annual Cape Clear Storytelling Festival

The Croke Park Classic encounter: UCF Knights V Penn State

The exciting Croke Park Classic is the first in a series of American College Football games for Dublin, whereby teams will compete for the coveted Dan Rooney Trophy, named after the former US Ambassador to Ireland and Chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  The trophy is made of bog yew, the remains of forests which grew 4,200 years ago in the Irish midlands as well as Pittsburgh steel.

Cliffs of Moher voted top heritage attraction in Ireland
