The Ireland rugby side got their Six Nations championship campaign off to a promising start after they despatched their Celtic cousins from Scotland in an impressive display at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Ireland among second seeds for UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying draw

It was announced by UEFA this week that the Republic of Ireland will be ranked among the Second Seeded teams heading into the qualifiers for UEFA Euro 2016. The qualifying draw for the tournament will take place in Nice on the 23rd February, 2014.

As a result of being included among the second seeded nations means that Republic of Ireland go into the pot knowing that they will avoid all the other second seeded countries such as Croatia, Ukraine, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic, and Hungary.  Continue reading →

Big Irish celebrations as Chinese Year of the Horse gallops in!

Garth Brooks to rock Croke Park once again in summer 2014

Garth Brooks has announced that he will be returning to Ireland this summer with a concert at the home of the Gaelic Games Association (GAA), Croke Park, in Dublin. The legendary American country music singer and songwriter will perform over two nights in July 2014.

It has been almost 17 years since Garth Brooks made his last trip to Ireland to entertain over 150,000 of his adoring Irish fans in Dublin back in May 1997.
