Deasy’s Harbour Bar and Seafood Restaurant in Clonakilty has received the much sought after accolade and entry into the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2013, which recognises pubs in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for their food, character and setting.
The guide also recognises two pubs in Dublin and two pubs in Clare, Galway, Kerry and Mayo, as well as one pub each in Kildare, Leitrim, Louth, Sligo, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wexford, but the other counties lagged significantly behind Cork, which with the inclusion of Deasy’s in Clonakilty now boasts 8 recognised pubs, confirming Cork’s supremacy for top bars and cuisine in Ireland. As a result for Stag Parties Cork has long been known as one of the ultimate destinations in Ireland to hold such events.
Within the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2013, more than 550 pubs are recommended, of which 24 are in Ireland, proving that wherever you are on your vacation in Ireland you are not far from Michelin approved pub grub!
