From March 1st to 3rd 2013, the unique Ennis Book Club Festival will take place in the town of Ennis, Co. Clare. The festival aims to promote the enjoyment of reading and it also wishes to encourage avid readers to expand their scope and broaden their horizons.
The festival includes workshops on reading fiction, poetry, sessions on reading lists and revisiting classics, reading group development seminars, professional development seminars for librarians, public interviews with authors, panel discussions, food demos, and exhibitions. Plus there will be walking tours, book club gatherings, literary table quizzes and music recitals. More details to come.
In addition, there will also be music, dance, food, theatre as well as conversations between authors and readers. It is a unique festival as it is the only one dedicated to book clubs.
