Féile Neidín 2015

The acclaimed Feile Neidin or Kenmare Irish Music Festival is set to take place from the 9th until the 16th April, bringing a celebration of Irish music, song and dance to the stunning setting of Kenmare. The town of Kenmare is located at the gateway to the Ring of Kerry making the town a firm favourite with people taking a vacation in Ireland.

The 2015 festival is built on the success of the 2014 festival where the best in Irish traditional and folk artists were featured each day during the exciting festival. The 2015 festival is set to showcase an all new line-up of events and it is once again set to play host to a diverse range of Ireland’s finest musicians.

Feile Neidin is set to take Kenmare town by storm from the 9th until the 12th April. The festival promises to showcase the best in Irish music performers from all over Ireland.

The Kerry festival is set to feature fantastic concerts, instrument workshops and for those with a love for the water, there are fantastic “tunes on the water” concerts which are set to take place by Kenmare Bay where people attending the concerts can enjoy not only the music but also the stunning surroundings of the region.

The popular Kenmare Session Trail is also ideal for those wishing to get up close and personal with the best of Irish music over a pint of Guinness or Murphys.  Sumptuous meals cooked from local produce can also be enjoyed in the town’s many bars and restaurants.

Ideal for families, this year’s festival is set to feature a kids session for those learning to play Irish music. Well-known musicians set to perform at Feile Neidin 2015 include the popular Kerry music legend Seamus Begley, who will perform with BBC Musician of the year 2012, Tim Edey.

In addition Luka Bloom with his new band O’Sahara are set to perform and on the popular “session trail” of Kenmare town, people will encounter popular musicians such as Mick O’Brien, Colm Murphy, Harry Bradley, and many more.

Feile Neidin is set to be popular with those planning on taking a trip to Ireland and specifically to County Kerry over the next few weeks.
