Michelle Obama to trace the Obamas’ Irish Ancestry while in Dublin

While President Obama attends the G8 Summit in Fermanagh, Michelle Obama and her two daughters will spend time in Dublin today and tomorrow where included in their schedule, is a trip to Trinity College where she will explore the archives documenting the Obamas’ family tree. 

Mrs Obama has a lot to get through on her whirlwind visit. Her schedule was printed for all to view today:

8.35am: President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama to arrive in Belfast. 
9.30am: Mrs Obama to introduce the president at the Belfast Waterfront Convention Centre.
11.25am: Mrs Obama to arrive at Dublin Airport.
12.25pm: Ms Obama to visit Trinity College Dublin where she will explore archives documenting the Obamas’ Irish ancestry.
4:30pm: A visit to the US embassy in Dublin where Mrs Obama will greet staff.
5pm: Ms Obama to enjoy a performance by the Riverdance company at the Gaiety Theatre. The wives of Irish President Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny will also attend.

Tuesday: Mrs Obama to visit the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
Evening: President Obama and first lady due to leave for Berlin, Germany.
