Munster Province wins a host of Fine Food Accolades

Venues in Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary were singled out in a long list of food, pub, restaurant and hotel facilities at the Georgina Campbell Awards for 2014.

The highly acclaimed contest has for now over a decade acted as a reliable guide for the best places to eat, drink and stay in Ireland and in reflection of its recent reputation, the Munster province account for three of the top four most-feted areas.

These wins for Munster, helped further its claim to be the food and drinks province of Ireland, and the winners from the region on the night were:

Hotel of the Year – Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare, County Limerick
Hideaway of the Year – Echo Lodge, Ballingarry, County Limerick
Business Hotel of the Year – Limerick Strand Hotel, Limerick, County Limerick
Wine Award of the Year – The Black Pig Winebar & Cafe, Kinsale, County Cork
Pub of the Year – Blairs Inn, Blarney, County Cork
Pet Friendly Hotel of the Year – Echo Lodge, Ballingarry, County Limerick
Cafe of the Year – Walton Court Cafe, Oysterhaven, County Cork
Natural Food Award – Longueville House Cider and Irish Apple Brandy, Mallow, County Cork
Guest House of the Year – Sea Shore Farm Guesthouse, Kenmare, County Kerry
Farmhouse of the Year – Inch House, Thurles, Tipperary
Best Hotel Breakfast Award – Limerick Strand Hotel, Limerick, County Limerick
