Today the whole of Ireland is revelling in what was a fantastic Arthur’s Day Celebration throughout the entire country. Last night whether in Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Limerick or Galway, stars from the world of music were popping up in pubs to surprise both locals and tourists on vacation in Ireland with intimate gigs whilst they enjoyed a pint or two of the black stuff!
As part of the Guinness-sponsored Arthur’s Day celebrations, these intimate gigs were happening in 500 pubs across Ireland and here is just a few of the headliners making those out for a Thursday night happy!
Primal Scream, Mumford and Sons and Mika turned up in bars around Dublin, Texas played in Limerick before rushing to a late night gig in Galway. The Fun Lovin’ Criminals turned up in Waterford City, Tinie Tempah played in Belfast. Ireland’s very own Coronas played in Charleville County Cork and Ellie Goulding played Cork City.
A fabulous evening, with most gigs free and no entrance fees charged, we are already looking forward to next year’s Arthur’s Day!
