Top 100 golf courses in Ireland for 2014 unveiled

The Golf Digest of Ireland has released its annual Top 100 rankings of Ireland golf courses. The rankings are always eagerly anticipated by Irish and visiting golfers alike as they prepare for the spring and summer months or planning  a vacation in Ireland. The rankings were compiled using a variety of factors including shot making, design variety and memorability considered before reaching a decision.

The 2014 rankings have seen Portmarnock replace Royal County Down as Ireland’s number one golf course with Adare Manor retaining its status as the top parkland course. Of course, this summer will see the Cork Golf Club Fota Island Resort host the Irish Open. The Top 100 are as follows:
