Will the Next James Bond be Filmed in Ireland?

Rumours are circulating that the next James Bond film could be shot in Ireland. The first time that the franchise would have filmed here, rumours started when producer Barbara Broccoli and writer John Logan attended an event hosted by the Institute of Directors to support the Irish Film Industry.

Oscar nominated Logan who will be based here in Ireland until next March recording the new gothic horror television series “Penny Dreadful” for Showtime at the Ardmore Studios has said that the script for the new Bond film is in process, and that whilst here in Ireland would soak up the local scene with a view of including it as a location in the next film, which is due out at the end of 2015.

Adding fuel to the rumour mill, producer Broccoli commented that if Logan was to include Ireland in the next script then they’d love to come here and make a Bond film.

A popular destination that has been used as the backdrop before for films and television series, could it be that the captivating beauty and charm of our emerald isle will entice the famous 007 franchise here for an Ireland vacation?
