It is a fantastic time to be on your vacation in Ireland this Easter Weekend, as we embark upon our Titanic centurial celebrations!
In the South, in Cobh, County Cork – made famous as Titanic’s last port of call to the North, in Belfast, County Antrim – where Titanic was built, the country is commemorating her devastating maiden voyage.
On Good Friday, 6th April, cars will be competing for both the IRC and National rallies. Cars will assemble in the Titanic Quarter and released from 1430, set out in a display fashion around the roadways within the grounds of Belfast City Hall before proceeding to the stage at the Titanic Quarter.
On Saturday 7th April, a Titanic Digital Projection Light Show will take place; this projection-mapping lighting show will showcase the new Titanic Belfast visitor attraction. Further projections are taking place from Easter Monday.
And Easter Monday on 9th April, Cobh will welcome a visit by the cruise liner, The Balmoral with entertainment for all at the Cobh Quayside. The 9th also see the start of the centenary week celebrations, and the start of Cobh’s one-off Maritime Fair. For this special week, Cobh will have stalls and markets set up around the town for visitors and locals to enjoy.
