This year’s Dublin Web Summit may only have been the fourth instalment of the event but it has now become regarded as among Europe’s leading technology conferences. The event attracts some of the worlds technology glitterati and power brokers who filled the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) event centre in Dublin.
The Web Summit is the brainchild of the young Dubliner Paddy Cosgrave who helped kick of the event by joining Taoiseach Enda Kenny on stage at the RDS to open the NASDAQ stock exchange from Ireland for the first time in the country’s history.
The speakers’ list included a “Who’s Who” of the technology and investment worlds from locations such as London and Silicon Valley in the United States. Hundreds gathered to see the vast array of startup companies that had planned trips to Ireland from all four corners of the world in the hope of rubbing shoulders with multimillionaire investors and some of the world’s leading technology advocates.
Proudly hosting this event, Dublin is found to benefit from the best in large and small meeting venues. An Ireland vacation is also not complete without sampling the wonderful food and drink that has made the Emerald Isle famous. So luckily, Good Food Ireland were on hand to wow hungry attendees with a wide range of local culinary delights, with the best of local Irish cheeses, hams and other delicacies from all corners of the country.
