Cycle Ireland have developed a new app aimed at presenting maps and directions for some of the country’s best routes on smartphones. The Cycle Ireland website caters to those visitors seeking a cycling vacation in Ireland.
The Cycle Ireland App will feature hundreds of Ireland’s most scenic cycling routes located throughout the country, many of which pass some of Ireland’s more renowned attractions and covers almost 6,800 km.
It’s the Easter holidays and this perfect time for the family to get together, and this Easter weekend there are a number of events occurring throughout the long weekend to satisfy everyone. A new agreement between the Irish tourist board, Tourism Ireland, and their British counterparts, VisitBritain, was announced as part of President Higgins’ State Visit to the UK. The agreement will seek to boost the numbers of tourists planning a vacation in Ireland and Britain who are visiting from long-haul markets such as India, China and south east Asia.
The respective CEO’s of Tourism Ireland and VisitBritain, Niall Gibbons and Sandie Dawe, respectively, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marking the agreement between the two nations.
Vacations to Ireland are as popular as every according to the recent survey completed by a Movehub. A regular in the top list of destinations to visit in the world, trips to Ireland are deeming very popular as Ireland is ranking very well in the top 50 most visited countries on the planet.
Tripadvisor has just published its best hotels of 2014 and an irish hotel has made the list.
Harvey’s Point in County Donegal has made the list that Tripadvisor describe as being “the closest you can get to travel perfection”
