Last night the Republic of Ireland soccer team began the football season with a 0-0 over our close neighbors, Wales. Critics felt both teams played poorly, with Ireland unable to break through a weak Wales side.
Many players from both sides had great opportunities to score but alas none could seal the deal. This was a disappointing night for Ireland but as ever we will look on the bright side and remember at least it’s a draw and not a loss. Ireland’s next game is against Sweden on the 6th of September.
