A range of international talent is set to descend upon the scenic West Cork region of Ireland this July with the return of the now world-famous West Cork Literary Festival.

The town of Bantry is set to come alive with a 6 day festival from the 12th until the 18th July with a range of talent descending on the popular town for the event.

Guinness Storehouse ranked one of Europe’s top tourist attractions

The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin was recently recognised at the World Travel Awards as one of in Europe’s leading tourist attractions  and in doing so became Ireland’s first such visitor attraction to be shortlisted.

Irish Redhead Convention 2015

The popular Red Head Convention is set to take place from the 21st until the 23rd August in the sailing village of Crosshaven just 25 kilometres from Cork City. The festival started out as a joke by siblings Joleen & Denis Cronin, however it has now become a large and popular event with many people planning a trip to Ireland especially to take part in the festivities.

Tourism Ireland to promote two Irish Arts Festival’s with online films

Two of Ireland’s most popular arts festivals, the Galway International Arts Festival and Kilkenny Arts Festival, will be promoted with the help of two new online films produced by Tourism Ireland.

As a way of giving a global audience a sense of what to expect during their trip to Ireland this summer, both short films feature images of Galway and Kilkenny, including St Canice’s Cathedral, Kilkenny Castle, the Black Abbey, St John’s Priory, Rothe House and The Hole in the Wall.

Tolkien’s Middle Earth comes to County Clare

Dublin to host American College Football game in 2016

The Aviva Stadium in Dublin is set to host an American college football game in 2016, which will be the third time in five years such a sporting event will be staged in Ireland. The Aer Lingus College Football Classic will see Boston College take on Georgia Tech at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 3rd September, 2016.

Ireland is now one of the world’s tourism hotspots for Whale Watching

Ireland is set to become one of the biggest whale-watching tourism hotpots in the world thanks to the approximate 100 whales which are spotted off Irish waters every year.

The mammals are in fact drawing many visitors from across the globe, planning a vacation to Ireland. Irish waters are thought to be home to fin, minke as well as humpback whales for 10 out of the 12 months of the year, which is in fact longer than most watching seasons in other countries.
